Syntax and Infinitival Complements
This presentation is about how HPSG syntax deals with infinitival complements?
The Problem: Consider the following sentences
(1) Pat continues to visit Mike.
(2) Pat tries to solve the problem.
They seem similar, but have differences in their semantics as well as in their syntactic properties.
